Snowshoeing by night, dinners in mountain huts, skiing and sledging by moonlight, relaxing beauty treatments or simple (but always welcome!) reserved discounts: one cannot deny that the mountains offer romantic and fun ideas for couples who decide to spend this special day in the snow!

Most mountain resorts have indeed worked hard to offer something memorable to lovers who decide to spend the Valentine’s Day weekend in the name of hearts in the mountains; we at Rent and Go have selected for you some of the most beautiful initiatives region by region.

VALLE D'AOSTA

In Courmayeur, where Valentine’s Day is also the winter patron of the resort, the center is tastefully and lavishly decorated and illuminated, offering visitors traditional and folkloric shows. For lovers, you can dine at the Torre Malluquin, a medieval monument where an exclusive restaurant has recently opened.

In La Thuile instead, the saint of lovers is celebrated on the snow, with fireworks and rivers of mulled wine and hot chocolate to warm body and soul.

In the regional capital instead, ten hot air balloons will be available to couples and will depart every morning at 9:30 from Piazza Chanoux to offer a breathtaking show over the highest peaks of the Alpine arc.

LOMBARDY

In Bormio, Valentine’s Day instead means a 20% discount on the ski pass for couples who choose the Lombard resort to spend the weekend! After the day on the slopes, discounts and concessions for well-deserved relaxation to be enjoyed at the ancient thermal baths.

In Chiesa Valmalenco you go with snowshoes on your feet and a torch on your head, accompanied by expert local guides. You will walk under the stars in the magical setting of Lake Palù. Round trip by cable car, with a traditional buffet planned on return from the snowshoe hike.

TRENTINO - ALTO ADIGE

It's the triumph of thermal baths and "pampering for lovers" organized in the Terme di Merano or in the numerous SPAs, even until midnight, in the resorts of Valdaora, Colfosco and Dobbiaco.

At Passo San Pellegrino, a sleigh trip from the Pass to the splendid basin of Fuciade, with the possibility of lunching at the eponymous refuge.

In Val di Fassa you have the embarrassment of choice: with SPAs and wellness centers, romantic horse-drawn carriage rides, snowshoeing accompanied by local guides and candlelit dinners in mountain huts with arrival by snowmobile.

VENETO

In Cortina the day starts with a couples’ ski lesson along the Lagazuoi slope (about 15-20 minutes), at Passo Falzarego, with a special discount for those who ski as a couple of 20 euros on the 50 normally charged. During the descent, the instructor gives technical advice on skiing and films the pupils to offer them a video-memory of the experience and a way to improve

In Misurina, still near Cortina, the possibility to sleep in an igloo at the Igloo Village, a true ice village made up of rooms and an Igloo Bar.

FRIULI

In Piancavallo instead, no mushiness and focus on sport! In fact, snowboard slope-style competitions are scheduled on the 14th and boarder cross on the 15th.
