THE MARCIALONGA RETURNS: 70 KM OF CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING THROUGH VAL DI FASSA AND VAL DI FIEMME
The Marcialonga – 70 km race strictly in classic technique which this year will feature 7500 participants, mostly Scandinavians – starts from the plain of Moena and then continues through the whole Val di Fassa along the Avisio river, up to Canazei. From there, the direction is reversed and the descent through the Val di Fiemme begins to arrive then at Cavalese, the finish of the race. Start scheduled for Sunday, January 25 at 9:00 AM.
Also on Sunday but on a shorter course – which will go from Moena to Predazzo via Canazei – the Marcialonga Light will instead take place, a 45 km classic technique race for those who do not have seventy kilometers to grind in a few hours.
