WELL-RENTING IS HALF THE JOB!

We at Rent and Go work by renting materials and equipment for sports; however, we make a necessary, if obvious, premise: those who ski regularly are not advantaged by continuously renting equipment; and, at the same time, are used to the small inconveniences that a day on the slopes entails.

That said, we want - with this short guide - to address an audience of beginner skiers and also intermediate and good level skiers. Those people used to skiing during the Christmas holidays and some other sporadic weekends or during the classic ski week during the winter season.

We have listed fourteen reasons that our many years of experience - combined with the immense passion for the mountains and winter sports - have suggested to us. Are you ready?

1) SAVINGS

Buying a new mid-range ski costs around €600/700, a one-week rental about €80, for one day about €20. For those who ski little, it will be easy to do the math.

2) PRACTICALITY

Installing a ski rack on the car is time-consuming and, above all, expensive. Without it, however, you are forced to keep the equipment in the car; and if you have a family, space is reduced to a minimum (try to imagine a group of 3/4 people with their skis and boots when leaving for the mountains!).

3) SKI RENTAL NEAR THE LIFTS

Even more, renting from Rent and Go, with its rental points close to the lifts and with the storage service, everything becomes easier: no inconvenience in transport at the beginning and end of the day, especially for families.*

4) NEWNESS

Skis are constantly evolving materials; with rental you will always have new models up to date with the latest trends from major manufacturers.

5) RENTAL HAS CHANGED!

Once, renting skis and boots meant poor and outdated equipment. Today things have changed: at Rent and Go rentals you will always find cutting-edge equipment in optimal condition.

6) RENTED BOOTS? NO WAY!

No longer! Today there are sophisticated machines to disinfect boots at the end of every rental. The result? Boots always fresh and clean; like new at every use.

7) CARE

To keep a ski in optimal condition over time, especially caring for the metal parts, you must observe some small and constant precautions at the end of each day on the snow; laziness and carelessness can negatively affect edges and bindings, then requiring repairs and additional costs. By choosing rental equipment, you will never have to worry about these attentions.

8) EQUIPMENT ALWAYS READY AND PERFECT

The rental cost includes all those small maintenance operations (waxing, edge sharpening, etc.) that you must account for on owned skis at least once per season.

9) ADDITIONAL SAVINGS AND PRACTICALITY WITH ONLINE

By renting online, there is a 10% saving compared to renting in-store, and you pick up the chosen equipment conveniently on the day you start skiing.

10) CHANGE IN SNOW CONDITIONS? CHANGE SKIS!

An owned ski, in the end, is used in all conditions; common sense, however, would have you use the ski best suited to the snow conditions (longer or shorter, stiffer or softer, etc.): with rental, you can choose the ski most suitable for the day's weather and snow.

11) WANTING TIGHT TURNS, WANTING WIDE TURNS

Empty slopes and hard snow, perfect for letting the skis go making wider turns? Rent a giant slalom ski!

Crowded slopes and soft snow, more suitable for a slalom-type run? Rent a shorter ski!

With owned skis you must adapt, with rental you change.

12) TREAT YOURSELF TO TRYING A SPECIFIC SKI MODEL

Why not treat yourself to trying a certain ski? Maybe the latest model from a particular brand, or a freestyle ski; or, why not, wake up with the desire to spend a day snowboarding... With rental you can, and it's all easier and cheaper!

13) WEIGHT CHANGES OVER A SEASON: NOT TO BE UNDERVALUED!

It happens to everyone to gain or lose a bit of weight over a few months. If absentmindedly you show up on the slopes with bindings set to an old and not updated weight, you risk that in case of danger the binding will release too easily or not release at all.

With rental, every time our technician will ask for your weight before handing you the skis, setting them perfectly according to the law and based on the kilos you weigh.

14) LAST - BUT NOT LEAST: CHILDREN AND GROWING TEENS, SAVINGS AND COMMON SENSE

If the adult who skis occasionally and without too many pretensions can reason to buy a ski to keep it for a few years, this obviously does not apply to children and teenagers. Growing quickly, equipment becomes inadequate within a few months; with consequent annual costs for equipment that are exorbitant.

In short: except for cases of young competitive athletes or frequent skiers, for children and teenagers the right choice is, all the more, rental.
