Circular economy · LIFE RESKIBOOT
From old ski boots to new ski boots.
Rent and Go took part in the LIFE RESKIBOOT project in collaboration with Dalbello, helping to develop an innovative approach to recovering materials from used ski boots.
The initiative resulted in a dedicated range of ski boots made using secondary raw materials and materials recovered from old boots. A concrete example of circular economy principles applied to winter sports equipment.

LIFE re-WINTER
After ski boots, a new life for skis too.
With LIFE re-WINTER, Rent and Go is participating in a new project that aims to recover end-of-life skis, ski boots and bindings and turn their materials into new winter sports equipment.
The project brings together specialists in collection, material processing and manufacturing, with the goal of developing a recycling and material reuse model that can be replicated throughout the ski industry.

Used skis, boots and bindings are collected through the rental shops participating in the project.

Materials are separated and processed to obtain new secondary raw materials.

The goal is to reintroduce recovered materials into the manufacture of new sports equipment.

Preparing skis and bicycles is an important part of our work. We therefore encourage the use of ski waxes, lubricants and maintenance products with more environmentally considerate characteristics.
Several Rent and Go shops use NZERO products, a brand specialising in ski waxes and lubricants, including products made with plant-based ingredients.

Rental operations generate packaging, worn components and equipment that eventually reaches the end of its useful life.
Rent and Go promotes waste separation and appropriate material disposal, including cooperation with specialist operators and partners.

Rent and Go organises and takes part in initiatives and events to share good practices, encourage responsible behaviour and strengthen relationships between mountain businesses.
Our network has also mobilised to support businesses affected by extreme natural events, including Cervinia 2001, a rental shop damaged by the floods of June 2024.
