When do ski resorts open for the 2026/27 season?

The 2026/27 ski season is getting closer: but when will the ski slopes and rental shops open in the main mountain destinations?

The first openings in the Rent and Go network are expected as early as September in Val Senales: the Stricker Racing Center has been open since 19 September 2026, while Sportservice Erwin Stricker Schnals will open on 15 October 2026. From the end of November, the season will then gradually begin in most Alpine destinations.

The weekend of 28 November 2026 will mark the start of the season for many destinations, while between 4 and 5 December, ahead of the Immaculate Conception holiday, most of the Rent and Go network will be operational.
