By the side of mountain lovers for 30 years. In 2026, Rent and Go celebrates a special milestone: three decades dedicated to making ski and bike rental easier, safer and more enjoyable. It is a story of people, experience and an ongoing commitment to quality, now looking ahead with a renewed website and an increasingly convenient digital experience.

From your first pair of skis for a winter holiday to your next e-bike adventure, our goal has never changed: to help you enjoy the mountains with the right equipment and the peace of mind that comes from relying on professionals.

Since 1996, a different approach to rental

The Rent and Go story began in 1996, thanks to the vision of three leading figures in skiing: Erwin Stricker, Kurt Ladstätter and Gerhard Königsrainer. Their idea was simple: make rental more than just handing over equipment. It should be a genuinely high-quality service in which the choice of gear, technical preparation, assistance and personal attention make all the difference.

Over three decades, skis have evolved and new materials, technologies and ways of enjoying the mountains have emerged. Yet the value of expert advice, a well-fitting ski boot and carefully prepared equipment has never changed.

Today, that philosophy brings together more than 80 ski and bike rental centres in Italy, in some of the country’s best mountain destinations, serving approximately 400,000 customers every year.

Quality is in the details

To us, a great rental experience means much more than picking a ski model. It means having a team beside you that listens, helps you choose suitable equipment and supports you throughout your holiday.

• Selected, regularly renewed equipment, with options for beginners, experienced skiers, children and families.
• Professional ski and snowboard preparation, with inspections and adjustments carried out by qualified staff.
• Careful hygiene standards, with helmets and boots cleaned and sanitised after every use.

• Additional services, including ski storage, servicing, accessories and other options, depending on the chosen rental shop.

In Trieste, we celebrated with our entire network

Rent and Go’s anniversary took centre stage at the 2026/27 season-opening Convention, held in Trieste from 20 to 22 October 2026. The three-day event brought together 59 participants from rental shops, partners and the wider team: a chance to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and prepare for the future.

The programme included a visit to the Elan factory and museum in Slovenia, where participants explored ski manufacturing up close and revisited key developments in ski history, including the carving revolution. The visit reflects how important it is to Rent and Go to really know the equipment we recommend to customers.

There was also time to celebrate together, with a gala dinner bringing together the people behind the brand. Because behind every online booking, every prepared pair of skis and every piece of in-store advice are professionals who share the same passion.

The future is already here: a renewed website and the Rent and Go app

Our anniversary also marks another step forward in the evolution of our service. The renewed rentandgo.it website and the Rent and Go app for iOS and Android let you plan your rental ahead of time, from home or straight from your smartphone.

The process is straightforward: choose your destination and rental shop, enter your dates and book your preferred equipment category. You can provide the information needed for your rental before arrival, pay online and receive a voucher to show at the shop, including on your phone.

You do not need to pick the exact model yourself: you book a category, and the rental specialists choose the most suitable option from the available products. When you collect your equipment, you can inspect and try it on according to the shop’s procedures.

You can also join the Rent and Go Club, which is free and optional, to save information for future reservations and make rentals even easier for you and your family.

Not just winter: our passion continues on two wheels

Snow has always been part of our DNA, but the mountains are there to enjoy all year round. During the warmer months, the Rent and Go network also offers bike, mountain bike and e-bike rentals, with options for family rides, scenic routes and days in the open air.
