Route: From La Villa to San Cassiano. A simple route suitable for everyone, perfect also for strollers.
The “Tru di artisc”, the Ladin name for the Artists’ Path, is a fascinating open-air art gallery that connects La Villa to San Cassiano.
You can start from either village and rent the best equipment at Alta Badia Shop & Rental, both in La Villa and at the rental point in San Cassiano.
The 5 km long route starts from the Altin area of La Villa and is enriched every year with a new sculpture created by artists from the Dolomite region.
Among the various art forms on display, poetry holds a special place alongside the sculptures. Along the path, you will also find several installations featuring verses written in the Ladin language.
The trail also hosts an open-air library, where visitors can find books about the Ladin language and culture, as well as volumes dedicated to children.
The scenic, traffic-free route unfolds at an altitude of around 1,400 meters above sea level, following the Rio Gadera and reaching a maximum elevation of 1,624 meters.
The path is flat and suitable for strollers, which — combined with its length and the beauty of the surrounding landscape — makes it a very popular destination.
For those wishing to extend the hike, it is possible to continue from San Cassiano along trail no. 11 towards Armentarola.
