The ski lifts of the Merano 2000 ski region reach up to 2,300m – meaning that sweeping views of the southern Alps are guaranteed if you head off to explore the 40 kilometres of ski slopes. With its easy and middle level ski runs, an illuminated toboggan run and a 1.1 km long bob-sled run, Merano is tailor-made for families. Before you set off for the ski slopes, you can visit one of the ski hire depots and easily rent some skis – the friendly ski hire personnel can provide advice about the most suitable models to rent.
